In classic Dave Tabion style, I got an email from Dave last night that read something like this:
Subject: Go Figure
Well… it looks like Carolyn and I are no longer dating![]()

My first thoughts were shock and disappointment, but then I opened up the email (I was reading the preview text in Gmail) and found these pictures:

Congratulations Dave and Carolyn!!!
It reminds me of the days when we would be working on our CS projects, and Dave would say, “Kevin, man, I don’t think I’m ever going to get this project done.” As soon as the word “done” would be on his lips, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister would be starting up in the background.

In rivalry weekend, Purdue will once again be playing for the Old Oaken Bucket against IU. Go Boilers!
A Win At Last1 Comment
Finally, with Painter at the helm for the third straight game, the Boilermakers have snapped a six-game losing streak in an arguably uncharacteristic season. Many people have been asking me what a poor season means for the eight-consecutive-year bowl veteran Coach Tiller. From PurdueSports.com:
Both offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and defensive coordinator Brock Spack attribute Purdue’s ability to overcome recent rocky times to Tiller’s leadership.
Said Chaney: “He’s been Joe Tiller. Most bullheaded man you’ll ever meet.
“He says you stay the course; work harder when things are not going well. He’s an excellent manager and great leader. The kids have played hard all year.”
Spack concurred.
“Coach Tiller is a master motivator when it comes to crisis situations,” he said. “He’s very even keel. He does not berate or belittle or browbeat players or coaches.
“He leads and is very positive in his approach. He’s matter-of-fact on what we have to do to get better. He’s done a great job.”
I’d say Coach Tiller’s doing exactly what he needs to be doing. Somebody get him another hot dog!
Also, Ben posted about the Nickel Creek concert we went to this weekend, and he even used some of my pictures.
In other news, I just registerred for the Trail of Lights 5K for my third consecutive year.
Orton to start for the BearsNo Comments
Kyle Orton will be the starting quarterback this season for the Chicago Bears.
Purdue 84, Michigan 55No Comments
Purdue men’s basketball got their first conference win over the weekend by beating Michigan 84-55. It’s pretty bad that we had to get this far into the season to get our first conference victory, but I’ll take an 84-55 win any day.
