Kimi is done with high school! As of Friday, my little sis’ became a college girl. Congratulations! We’re all proud of you.
I got into O’Hare at 11:15 PM Friday night. I was supposed to arrive at 8:30 or something. Then, I just barely caught the last bus for the night to Merrilville. Finally reached home at 1:30 AM Saturday morning. Then, as promised the night before, we woke up at 8:00 AM to go Christmas shopping. Craziness!
Saturday night we had dinner with our grandparents and aunt and uncle and Kimi’s boyfriend (?) Dave. Then everyone came back to our house for cake and to celebrate more with Kim.
Today (Sunday) included a visit to White Castle, movie watching, and later on a trip to Munster to visit Dave and TJ.

Anyone remember that song by the Spice Girls? Two Become One? Nevermind. It probably wasn’t definitely isn’t about marriage, which is what this post is about. Funny how songs have a way of cropping up like that.
On Saturday Meg and Lucas get married. Yours truly will be attending the wedding. I’m going to fly up to Indy tomorrow and stay with my cousin Josh (thank you Josh), attend the wedding on Saturday, and fly back Sunday.
So a big congratulations goes out to the future Natraj’s. May your wedding be beautiful and may God bless your life together.
A Thanksgiving to be Thankful forNo Comments
I had the pleasure of joining Jade’s family for Thanksgiving dinner in Houston on Thursday. The Woodall family was incredibly kind and gracious, and I’m very grateful for their invitation. The meal was magnificent, and TJ will be pleased to know that it included turducken.
I’m off now to HEB to get some cough syrup and/or tea and some groceries. Tonight a few of us are planning to go see Sarah Bate’s alma mater play Texas in basketball. Tip-off is at 7:00 PM CST.
