Back to WorkNo Comments

Yesterday was my first day back to work after taking a week off to show Erin (Friday through Thursday) and Dave and TJ (the following Friday through Sunday) around Austin and Texas.

A lot of the time was spent seeing sights I normally see, but I did do a few things out of the ordinary like horseback riding and a trip to the Gulf of Mexico. Even though I stayed around Austin mostly, I had a great time with all three of my visitors and really enjoyed being off work for a few days.

Erin and I pretty much did things non-stop, and it was fun to always have something exciting to look forward to.

Dave and I played a few epic games of racquetball, and TJ joined in on one. The Halo playing was top-notch, Dave got some great pictures on Mt Bonnell, and we won’t discuss the Love Boat comedy show. Ever.

Congrats!No Comments

Congrats to Randy (ExtremeBlue Almaden, Summer 2002 Randy - NOT Schlumberger Austin, Summer 2001 Randy) and Heather on their engagement!

Cute pictures of Randy and Heather: 1, 2.

In other news, Johnny Z and Bob “Bobbo” Watson are recently engaged to their respective girlfriends!

I also caught up with Jeremy Coffman (shown here second from the left) not too long ago, and he’s living and working happily at Astor’s Beechwood in Newport, Rhode Island - giving historic tours and acting in dinner theatres.

And Boy Are My Arms Tired….No Comments

I just flew in from Chicago this afternoon/evening after having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend visit with my family. Pictures are posted here.

I’m off to dinner with Katie and Kim and then it’s back to the grind tomorrow.

Maybe I’ll catch the Pacer game on ReplayTV later - I have it recording.

Doin’ stuff1 Comment

Too many things are going on tonight.

I installed my favorite windows game under linux using winex, Purdue is playing IU, and Bob Schneider is playing at Antone’s. So, I guess the video game and the basketball game can wait.

My laundry really shouldn’t wait.

Oh yeah, and this is post #201.

Weather Turns Cold for Jade4 Comments

Well, it’s almost noon and at last check, it’s 38 degrees in Austin. Jade is the only Texan I’ve met who likes cold weather, so I hope she is enjoying the weather, even though it is 47 in Houston. I know I’m enjoying it. I’ve recovered my inner Yankee on my visit to Crown Point and can once again tolerate the cold like a champ.
