Friday (More Than) Five3 Comments

1. Quick: you have a three day weekend and 1500 USD, where are you going and who are you bringing?
In light of the Texas heat and the fact that I’ve wanted to for a while, I’d go to Alaska. It’s within a reasonable distance, so I wouldn’t be spending all my time traveling too. I’d take Bear Grylls with me. That way I could do really challenging, exciting stuff, but also probably not die.

2. Who has left you the greatest music-only voicemail in the last couple weeks? What was the song, if you don’t mind me asking?
That would be you, Cory. The song is by Prince.

3. How many languages would you like to be able to speak?
Let’s answer this as if I could learn them a la the Matrix and just have them uploaded to my brain…. In that case I’d say: Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, German, Arabic, Pirahã. I’m already counting English and Spanish.

4. What is your least favorite homeowner chore?
Cleaning the toilets.

5. After you go climbing, do you feel really cool when your forearms bulge?
Absolutely.

6. Better spanish/spanish traditional artist: Dali or El Greco?
Forced to choose between the two, El Greco.

7. Something you’re allergic to or something you find disgusting?
To do what with? Disgusting. No, allergic. Allergic.

8. If you had to find a little lost puppy, where would you start looking?
Bonus: would you give up?

The pound. Bonus: “That little boy’s gotta think ‘You got a pet. You got a responsibility.’ If your dog is lost, you don’t look for an hour then call it quits…..”

it’s funny how people prefer diff’t chores. i’d take the toilets over vacuuming or taking out the trash any day.
technically, however, it could be argued that none of them are “homeowner” chores since they’d still have to be done in an apt. in which case, i’d have to switch it up a bit and say my least fav homeowner responsibility is the a/c unit. getting it fixed and having to think about new ones. that’s not very fun.
and mowing the lawn. oh wait, i don’t do that. ;)

I think the older you get, going to work becomes a big chore. Guess maybe I have been in banking too long. 36 years is a long time.
