I received this as part of a prayer update from the Southern Cross Project. It describes the results of a similar Bible distribution effort to the one we did in New Zealand:

From a GCC physical therapist inside China:
This is a short story about Dr. Lou (not his real name). Dr. Lou is a dentist in a city in China. He has one son who is now studying in the USA. I met Dr. Lou when he wanted me to help teach English to him and his son. They were good students and kind friends. As we studied English together, I would share about the faith with him and his son. After several months of teaching English, his son came to Christ. His son’s faith grew and he trusted totally in God. When working on his visa to the USA to study, the son just prayed and had peace about whatever would happen. His visa was granted without problem, so he is there studying now. Regarding Dr. Lou, as we studied English, he also came to Christ. As we talked, I found out that Dr. Lou received a Bible when traveling in Thailand. He was drawn to reading the Bible and had developed a strong foundation of the faith that assisted me greatly when I shared with him about the faith. It was due to that Bible that he was given that he and his son both became Believers. God worked out the plan without either the one that gave the Bible or myself knowing the other one existed. (Matthew 13:33)

That’s pretty incredable kevin! One does the sowing the other does the reaping. Very cool.

    that’s neat-o.

could i maybe sow an idea in your head, and then you reap the creativity by writing another post?

so, human beings usually have things on their bodies in 1s or 2s, right? 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 spine, 2 third ribs, 1 heart, 2 lungs, 2 hands (fingers and toes being a notable exception)…

maybe you could write a short story about what it would be like, living in a commuter town in central texas, if you had three of some part of your body. and not suddenly, but if you grew up that way. what do your friends think? problems with girls? special challenges/advantages? think about that, and let us get a story from you, please.

and in case that wasn’t enough to jump-start the writing:

what does the word “missionary” mean to you?

have you heard of Ezekiel Victor? why or why not?

what’s something that needs to be done, sooner rather than later?

you have your own home, what is your home about?

if i were to come play on the party barge this weekend, what should i expect?
