Today is the Red Bull Flugtag. It’s an event where people construct crazy flying/gliding contraptions and launch them over water to see how far they make it. I’m not sure if I’ll be in attendance or not, but it certainly sounds like fun.

Update: I did make it out for this, and it was fun if not a little unimpressive. Something tells me the originators in Austria would be a little disappointed with our version.

Well, flugtag is really a new one on me….bet a lot of people had a lot of fun….you would have been good at that, I’ll bet…beautiful COOL day here, for a change…after the “monsoons” left us…hope your weather has improved and also that you are having a good day and weekend….love gp

I know it may not have been as exciting as expected (for the viewers, as well as for the people who crashed way too soon into the water), but a summer afternoon/evening outside is always a good thing in my book, esp. when it involves a quasi-picnic.
