Ugh. I would gladly trade some of these 100 degree days we’re “finally” getting this week for a few additional rainy, more temperate days. Sometimes I wish Texas were more like California.

Aww, 100 degree days are what make Texas, well, Texas.
I heard someone say recently that you can consider yourself a Minnesotan after you’ve lived through 9 Minnesota winters. My friend Megan’s response to that was that you can consider yourself a Texan after you’ve lived through 9 Texas summers.
Think about it. That’s rough. That’s like skins on the wall.

yeah… hot is hard to take. hotter where Cory is though… and soon enough it will be cold…then Spring again… and so it goes.
this is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it. sounds like a sermon, huh? when you were just fussing about the heat. sorry.
love you, buddy.

Boy, we are sure getting the HEAT here,too..our Civil Defense director (Emergency Management) has put out a directive about how to deal with excessive heat…some good advice…kind of a rarity from him on that subject but very much in order….Keep cool, kev

Uh… Can we trade? Seriously? You come here to Oslo for a week, and I’ll head back to Austin.
Yesterday was the first day in ages that it has reached the 70s, and it’s been raining almost every day for the last 5 weeks! All that rain that’s been flooding the UK has come up and hit us afterwards!
It wouldn’t really bother me so much, but summer will be over (and I mean seriously over) in a month! I’d like to be able to wear shorts just once this year!

Kev — feel free to come on over to my office…they had to remove the heating element in our air system — so there is no warm air being mixed with cool air — translation…it feels like I am working in a meat locker.

@Meg, I think I would like to trade you actually. One week in Oslo for one week in Austin doesn’t sound too bad.
@Amanda, I’m sorry. That’s no fun. I bet going outside feels good after that. Today’s kinda pretty actually and not so crazy-hot yet. Looking forward to paintball tomorrow!

I completely agree. I thought I was the only one here who wasn’t bothered by the constant rain. I knew it was only delaying the inevitable…

Of course Marci agrees with this. That girl keeps her thermostat set to negative twelve.
