Everytime We Touch

Have you heard that song Everytime We Touch by Cascada?

Well, I bet you haven’t heard it sung in English and Arabic at the same time. Even better, it’s Cory doing the Arabic.

Psalm 1:1-3

February 21st, 2007

1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

Chief Illiniwek Retires

February 19th, 2007

The University of Illinois will retire its mascot, Chief Illiniwek. Ostensibly, the idea of having a Native American mascot is offensive to some; however, I - like many - only have respectful and endearing memories of having “Chief” perform at the games. In my recollection, growing up near Champaign-Urbana, “Chief” would always do a dance as a way to fire up the team, etc. As far as I know, great care was taken to be very honorable, respectful, and authentic in the portrayal.

As a Boilermaker, I wish my conference-mates well and bid a fond farewell to Chief Illiniwek.

Squirrel on a Plane. I wonder which Samuel L Jackson would prefer.

The plane grounded by the squirrel was the same one that one of my instructors was on, apparently.

Famous origami artist, Robert Lang, has written an intriguing piece of software that aids him in designing his paper art. Fascinating!
