Love
September 18th, 2006
“The ultimate risk anyone ever takes is to love, for as C. S. Lewis says, ‘Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal.’ But God does give it, again and again and again, until he is literally bleeding from it all. God’s willingness to risk is just astounding…” — John Eldredge

IBMers if you have a free moment, participate in the Innovation Jam. I’m a bit overbooked at the moment, but it looks interesting.

Hamilton Pool
September 6th, 2006
This weekend, after we got back from the retreat, a few of us went to Hamilton Pool. It’s a beautiful lagoon that has eroded (I assume) a cave out behind it; it also typically has a beautiful waterfall as well.
It’s been a little dry in Texas though (up until this week), so there was pretty much only a trickle:
We enjoyed the water for quite a while and then went on a hike. We went maybe 2-3 miles, but I was in flip-flops with a sprained ankle - hardcore!
Check out the photo set in my Flickr account.
