Purdue 84, Michigan 55

January 31st, 2005

Purdue men’s basketball got their first conference win over the weekend by beating Michigan 84-55. It’s pretty bad that we had to get this far into the season to get our first conference victory, but I’ll take an 84-55 win any day.

Forgotten Leftovers

January 25th, 2005

Last night I cooked dinner. It turned out very well, as far as I’m concerned.

I made fettucine with chicken and broccoli in a cream sauce, sugar-snap peas with an orange marmalade and ginger glaze, and heated up some premade garlic bread. It tasted good, as food you work to prepare usually does, and I think it was one of my better go-arounds of that meal.

Casey said she liked it. :)

She even wanted to take the leftovers for lunch today, but we forgot to get them out of the fridge before she left last night.

Hankering

January 21st, 2005

Scott had a “hankering” for live music last night, so Sumit, his friend Rajit, Scott and I went to go see George DeVore at the The Saxon Pub. They had a nice bluesy sound, and we got our live music fix.

My friend Zach from my high school days is engaged. Congratulations Zach!

Addendum:
Apparently, Jennifer Koets and James Heller were married recently, and John ZuHone is engaged, as is Jenny Williams.
