Life As It Comes

I just read this Spiderman 2 review on Slashdot, and I can’t wait to see it tonight.

Cory arrived in Israel at about 2 AM this morning. He said it was 98 degrees with low humidity. His roommate is from Tel Aviv.

Apparently there was an earthquake near Chicago! The earthquake was a 4.1 on the Richter scale and happened at 1:11 AM CDT near Ottawa, Illinois - 97 miles from Crown Point. Mom said she felt it. Scary!

The last recorded major earthquakes in the area were in 1881, 1912 and 1972. This quake was not associated with the New Madrid fault (in Southern Illinois), responsible for the state’s most serious earthquakes and the cause of a scare in the late 80s/early 90s.
