Friday Five

January 30th, 2004

You have just won one million dollars:

1. Who do you call first?
A restaurant to make dinner reservations for my friends and I

2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
A house (not a huge house, just a house)

3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
Dinner (see above)

4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
UUMC, Dad for retirement, etc

5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
I’d have at least $500,000 left after that wouldn’t I? I’d invest that much in whatever Dietz told me to.

Teej Beat Me

January 30th, 2004

Teej has the highest score I know of for the moment on the penguin game, next to Asa who was the first person’s site I saw it on.

Koinonia Dinner

January 29th, 2004

The Koinonia Dinner was a big success tonight. Fourteen or so new-comers enjoyed each other’s company. Hopefully they all found a new church home with us.

Digging out from under Laundry

January 28th, 2004

So, I decided instead last night to stay home and watch Purdue-IU and work on the mountains of laundry I needed to do. The good news is I’m starting to catch up. The bad news is, Purdue lost to IU. For all you Texans out there, that’s like Texas losing to OU.

Boooooo!

Doin’ stuff

January 27th, 2004

Too many things are going on tonight.

I installed my favorite windows game under linux using winex, Purdue is playing IU, and Bob Schneider is playing at Antone’s. So, I guess the video game and the basketball game can wait.

My laundry really shouldn’t wait.

Oh yeah, and this is post #201.
