How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a great movie, even though it’s probably a “chick flick.” However, Kate Hudson is intoxicating, irresistable, and beautiful. But what is feng shui anyway? Why is it the decorating buzzword of the indefinite while? It’s one of the cover articles on the magazine in the intro to the movie. Oh well. Matthew McConaughey plays a “man’s man” who won’t welch on a bet that he can make Kate Hudson fall in love with him, but what he doesn’t know is that she is doing a magazine article about “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” It’s a good comedy, a great date rental, and did I mention Kate Hudson is amazing in it?

Sorry about my site being down for the past two days. Roadrunner decided that it was acceptable to take down all of the cable and broadband for Northwest Austin for two days.

I’ve been to Sonic a few times in the past couple weeks, and there is always the most cheerful “carhop” waitress working there. Her name is Carol. She’ll always ask me how I’m doing with a big smile, and when I ask her how she is doing she’ll answer “Just another day in paradise” and laugh. She’s always got a smile for everyone who eats there, and I’ve never seen her frustrated or even melancholy.

So here’s to people who brighten everyone’s day. Thanks Carol.
